Banner

This is the banner for the online phone shop. I think it could be better if the keypad image was changing to transparent layer. It make the banner deeper and the image, text become more related.

Groundhog day_ Good film to see

If you have watch this film, I surely you will remember this image. It also the scene that I remember most. When the clock radio plays the song, the "Ground hog day" begins with the same event that it did before. Stephen Tobolowsky, a horrifying nerd from Murray's high-school past now in insurance, recognizes him -- again. Even MacDowell and Elliott are gearing up to film the festival as if for the first time. Almost every event are the same, from the time of waiter breaks the dishes.
The narrative could be non-linear. The time/space dilemma presents a variety of options, from fun to immoral. He can find out basic information from attractive local Marita Geraghty, for instance, then wow her the next time around with apparent inside knowledge. But later, he tried to use his time to help people and learn some skills like playing piano and making the statue.

The story makes me thinking a lot. At first, I'm difficult to understand the story, But later, I feel it more and more interesting as I saw it more.

Installation art

Postmodern art is a term used to describe art which is thought to be after or in contradiction to some aspect of modernism. In general movements such as Intermedia, Installation art, Conceptual Art and Multimedia, particularly involving video are described as post-modern. The traits associated with the use of the term post-modern in art include bricolage, use of words prominently as the central artistic element, collage, simplification, depiction of consumer or popular culture and Performance art.

Performance art is art in which the actions of an individual or a group at a particular place and in a particular time constitute the work. It can happen anywhere, at any time, or for any length of time. Performance art can be any situation that involves four basic elements: time, space, the performer's body and a relationship between performer and audience. It is opposed to painting or sculpture, for example, where an object constitutes the work. Of course the lines are often blurred

Installation art uses sculptural materials and other media to modify the way we experience a particular space. Installation art is not necessarily confined to gallery spaces and can be any material intervention in everyday public or private spaces.
Installation art incorporates almost any media to create an experience in a particular environment. Materials used in contemporary installation art range from everyday and natural materials to new media such as video, sound, performance, computers and the internet. Some installations are site-specific in that they are designed to only exist in the space for which they were created.

Installation art Example:
  • Video:

Sue Hadju (Rmit University_Design Department): "We're not counting the sheep" (http://youtube.com/watch?v=Td-nm5ya9KQ).
I couldn't understand what she wants to performance. After a few times watching, I recorgnized the idea and feel it is interesting. I love the last sence with the last sentence. I also love the way that she choose the image to present. It is so close to me. In overall, it is amazing and execellent.

Some comment about the flyer

the second redesign flyer.(http://selenga1705.blogspot.com/)

the first redesign flyer.(http://selenga1705.blogspot.com/)

the original work.

In my opinion:
  • The original flyer is so boring. The author want to make the flyer to be more attractive. However, he(she) are not good at typography so it isn't impressive to the viewers.
  • The second flyer is better. The good side of the flyer is straight to the problem following the "less is more" trend and good use of contrast. The author reduces the size of text to imply the reducing is not so creative. It imply a picture. In general, this flyer could be remarkable.
  • The first flyer is the best. It is really compressive to me. Women as a vital viewer will be attracted by the beautiful body. Two curses create a good decoration for the flyer and it also composites with the text create a perfect body image. It will make the viewer be remarkable.

Week2: Composition

In week 2, we have studied about "Composition". I tried to make some of drawings and pictures to practice. The first is the e-card that I make for the Women days and I used the Rythm style and I'm carefully choose the image that would be expressed my idea. Hope that you would understand and feel it. The second is my photo that I took. It follow the abstract idea. It seems that just only some kinds of red. But it is some implies in there.

Nice to have your comments.
